The 2023 Leagues Cup group stage has come to an end, and has left some outstanding performance data. One of the players who stood out during the first phase of the tournament is Monterrey striker, Germán Berterame. The 24-year-old has become a fundamental piece for Rayados and his contributions will be vital for the aspirations of Tano Ortiz’s team as the competition progresses.

Berterame has established himself as the top scorer in the Leagues Cup group phase, leading the table with a total of five goals. His outstanding ps began in the team’s debut against Real Salt Lake, where he managed to score a hat trick. His scoring streak continues in the team’s last match against Seattle, where he hit a brace and generated a great impact on Monterrey’s performance.
